Readers of NSYSU to borrow books from other school library in person.

1. Fill out the application form online: Readers who want to borrow books from libraries of National Kaohsiung Normal University, Kaohsiung Medical University, National Kaohsiung University, Cheng Kung University, Chung Cheng University, or National Chung Hsing University

(1) Applicant qualifications

A. This service is applicable to full-time teachers, students (excluding tuition class students) and full-time employees of our school.

B. If the accumulated penalty is over 150 NT dollars, the applying right will be suspended. Please pay the deferred payment before applying.

(2) Application steps

A. Login the "Find Documents and Interlibrary Loan" to fill in the Application from.

B. Within a month after receiving the notification of the receipt of the identity confirmation, you can pick up the "Identity Confirmation form" at our school’s library counter on the 3rd floor during opening hours; those who did not retrieve it within the time limit will not be able to apply for cross-school book loan services for 3 months.

C. Bring the "Identity Confirmation Form" with your student ID or staff ID, then go to the partnered library during office hours to complete the procedures.

(3) Please refer to the table below for the number of borrowed books allowed and the loaning period.

2. Borrow library card: If you want to borrow books aside from the six universities mentioned above.

(1) Borrowing procedures

Readers of our university are required to hold a valid library card to borrow from the service desk on the 3rd floor during working hours of the library (Monday to Friday 9: 00-12: 00~13: 00-17: 00) After loaning the card, you can then go to the respective cooperative library to borrow books.

(2) Borrowing rules

A. Each person can only borrow two school library cards at once, one card is deemed to be borrowing one piece of information (which will account for the personal loan amount).

B. Each library card can be borrowed for 90 days and can be renewed online once.

C. Before returning each school's library card, please return the books you have borrowed. If you had owed any debts, please pay them off as well.

Foreign school readers borrowing books from our library

1. Readers of the Six-University Cooperation：National Kaohsiung Normal University, National Kaohsiung University, Kaohsiung Medical University, National Cheng Kung University, National Chung Cheng University, and National Chung Hsing University

(1) Apply method

Please apply for and obtain an identity confirmation form from your university library before attending to ours, then go to the 3rd floor of our library during working hours (9: 00-12: 00~ 13: 00-17: 00, Monday to Friday) to finish the procedures.

(2) The number of borrowing days and amount are shown in the table below. Overdue payment of NTD 5 per book per day is required.

2.Readers of cooperative libraries aside from the six schools

(1) Apply method

The reader should first go to their own school’s library to obtain the library card issued by the library to the cooperative libraries, and borrow the library resources in person at the library's opening time.

(2) Borrowing rules

A. The number of borrowing days and amount are shown in the table below.

B. After expiry the books cannot be renewed. Overdue payment of NTD 5 per book per day is required.

Application Note

1.Request for photocopies of non-Chinese journal articles only.

2.Check Library Catalog to ensure that the required materials are not available within the Library.

3.Fill in the journal title in its full name no abbreviations, corresponding ISSN and all the required fields in the request then submit the application online. Your requests will then be forwarded to the RAPID ILL.

4.An E-mail will be sent to you when the requested item is available. It will be kept in the Circulation desk (3F) for you to pick up.

Note : ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) number is required, For International students, you can check ISSN on https://www.worldcat.org/

Fee Schedule

Currently it is free of charge for NSYSU faculty, staff and students.

Regarding on borrowing and photocopies of Chinese, Japanese or Korean articles, please check out NDDS interlibrary loaning.

Turnaround Time

Requests sent through Rapid ILL will be filled mostly within 1-4 days on a normal business day. The actual time varies depending on each libraries working schedule.
