RapidILL Express Document Delivery Service

Introduction  

  1.  Rapid ILL is an international interlibrary service, mainly to provide photocopying service for English journal articles. Through this service, we provide documents and materials that are not available in this library.
  2.  RapidILL's cooperative members are committed to providing fast and effective resource-sharing services. There are mainly university libraries in the United States; other member libraries are located in North America, Oceania, and parts of Europe and Asia.

Current NSYSU staff, faculty, and students

Application procedure

  1. Login to the school’s cloud platform using NSYSU Single Sign-On account
  2. Search for a book; if there are no related results, click on “Expand Search Results” on the top left corner.
    1. After finding your search, Click on “Check for available services/ No online access”, select “Resource sharing”,the system will automatically import related information of the material into a document delivery form, after confirming, click send.
    2. No searches found: If no related journal articles can be found, select「期刊文獻快遞服務」,fill in「文獻快遞服務申請表」and hit send.
    3. During the application process, the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) and the year of the journal are essential information. Journals without a n ISSN cannot be submitted for application.
  3. After the requested materials arrive at the library, an email notification will be sent to the applicant. Please bring your student ID or staff ID to the 3rd-floor circulation counter to collect the items.

Processing time

It will take around 1 to 5 working days on average, depending on the department.

Fees

  • The Rapid ILL Document Delivery service is provided free of charge.
  • Each person is limited to 10 requests per day, with a maximum limit of 20 requests per month. Faculty members are not subject to this restriction.

Reminder

  • RapidILL provides only English journals. Monographs, conference proceedings, theses, and dissertations are not available on the system.
  • RapidILL's cooperative members primarily consist of universities in the United States. Journals and papers published in Europe and Asia are harder to access through this network.
  • If the document requested through RapidILL service is rejected, applicants are required to submit requests independently through the NDDS system based on their needs. The response time from the NDDS system depends on the processing status of the supplying unit and the delivery method.
