符合條件
1. 於投稿系統ACS Paragon Plus登錄第一順位機構為:中山大學National Sun Yat-sen University
2. 文章被接受日期：2024.01.01~2026.12.31
3. 適用文章類型：無限制
4. 適用期刊清單：所有期刊

ACS OA Journal Publishing Discount (2024)

Starting from 2024, the university will participate in the ACS Journals OA program as part of the National Science Council's Natural Science and Sustainable Research Library Services Project in the field of chemistry. As part of the ACS Read & Publish 2024-2026 agreement, a discount on Article Processing Charges (APC) for ACS OA journals will be provided.

Teachers and researchers can publish open access articles free of charge in ACS journals from 2024 to 2026. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity!
Eligibility Criteria:

1. The first listed institution in the ACS Paragon Plus submission system is National Sun Yat-sen University.

2. Acceptance date of the article: January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026.

3. Applicable article types: Unlimited.

4. Applicable journal list: All journals.

Reminder: Authors should carefully evaluate the quality of publishers and journals when submitting articles to avoid submitting to predatory journals.

流程

當稿件被接受，館員跟作者會同時收到通知信，
作者要選的是，他是否同意自己的文章以OA發表，也可以選擇不要。
館員要批准的則是，是否為本校師生。(這兩者是獨立作業)，其餘過程皆由出版社直接和作者聯繫。
若館員已經批准，但是作者選擇非OA，通常是因為作者還不知道可以免費發表，因此出版社會主動發信通知作者並重新確認意願。
如果作者決定改以OA發表，他會被要求重新簽署JPA文件。若仍堅持用非OA發表，則ACS會人工將APC贊助退還。(即把扣掉的Token再還回)

Process:

1. When a manuscript is accepted, both the librarian and the author will receive a notification simultaneously.

2. The author needs to choose whether to agree to publish their article in OA format or can choose not to.

3. The librarian needs to approve whether the article is a submission from a faculty or student of our university (these are independent operations).
The remaining process will be handled directly by the publisher and the author.

4. If the librarian has already approved but the author chooses not to publish in OA, it is usually because the author is not aware that they can publish for free. Therefore, the publisher will proactively send an email to inform the author and reconfirm their willingness.

5. If the author decides to publish in OA format, they will be asked to re-sign the JPA document. If they still insist on publishing in non-OA format, ACS will manually refund the APC sponsorship (i.e., return the deducted tokens).
