Announcement on the Restoration of Book Loan Periods
Due to the relocation work related to the revitalization of the library space, starting from December 18, 2023, the loan period for students and staff will be extended from 30 to 60 days, with the maximum loan period from 180 days to 360 days.
At the beginning of this year (2024), after collecting opinions and suggestions from faculty and students, the relocation was changed to involve the reading and office spaces on the 3rd floor to reduce the impact on access to the collection. The library space adjustments were completed in April.
To speed up the books to circulate and reduce the waiting time for readers is planned to revert the loan period for books for students and staff to 30 days per loan with a maximum loan period of 180 days, starting from October 1, 2024, in accordance with the library usage regulations.
After the loan period reverts, the system will automatically adjust the maximum renewal date for books currently on loan, but the due date for the current loan will remain unchanged. If you hold a book that has not yet reached the due date but has exceeded the maximum renewal period, you may only use it until the due date and will not be able to renew it. Additionally, if another reader reserves the book during this period, it must still be returned by the due date specified in the reservation notice. The table below provides detailed information.

If the book is not reserved and you still need it, you can bring the book to the circulation desk on the 3rd floor of the library to renew it. The maximum loan period will be recalculated.
